JOB OVERVIEW
The role of the position holder will be to carry out various management accounting maintenance functions required for the preparation of various management accounting reports and statutory financial statements by implementing various processes for review and finalization of the Financial Controller and the Chief Finance Officer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Preparation of the monthly profitability report for sector, department and customer and reconciling it with Originations departments.
2. Preparation of the rolling forecasts with different scenarios and the five years financial statements of the Bank and assist in preparation of special reports.
3. Supporting Strategy department in all requirements related to the Bank’s Business plan and Score cards.
4. Coordinate with other members in the Bank in obtaining inputs for execution of regular budgets, forecasts and reporting of the same.
5. Assist in modelling and analysis- develop long term financial planning model, including scenario planning, and meaningful dashboards with variance analyses for Senior Management.
6. Reviewing all invoices and payments to ensure they are posted in in line with the line budget items or not.
7. Assist in designing of forms and schedules to be used for budgeting control.
8. Assist in the periodic discussion with the departments to understand their plans and activities in order to start the process of the implementation of the activity-based budgeting.
9. Preparation of reports for cost control and assist in developing the techniques required to be implemented.
10. The setting and review of internal control procedures and ensuring their adherence.
11. Monitoring cost controls to ensure budgets are not exceeded and revenue targets are met.
12. Perform any other work required for financial planning and control. Any other duties as may be assigned by senior management.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTITUDE:
1. Good first degree in a relevant field and a relevant post graduate degree.
2. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, CMA, CPA, ACCA) is required and may be considered in lieu of a post graduate degree. Sound experience of at least 5 years within the Banking or financial services industry and demonstrable knowledge of IFRS and related accounting rules. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems (preferably SAP and Finacle) is a must.
3. Experience in project implementation of ERP systems will be an added advantage.
4. Ability to communicate and function in a culturally diverse and change oriented setting.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English or French. Knowledge of the Bank’s other working languages is an added advantage.
6. Willingness to travel extensively and to work long hours where required in order to achieve the Bank’s objectives.
7. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including ability to organize and manage human resources to attain goals.
